Partners - The Just Deeds Project

Together for change.

We thank the Just Deeds Coalition founding members.

Minneosta Association of City Attorneys
Minnesota Association of City Attorneys >

Minneapolis Area Realtors >

Founded in 1887, Minneapolis Area REALTORS® (MAR) is the largest local Realtor® association in Minnesota, serving more than 9,000 real estate professionals in its five-county jurisdiction and across the Twin Cities metro area. MAR provides its members with essential market information, educational resources, a trusted networking community, an effective industry voice and strong leadership for greater professional success while promoting stronger, sustainable communities.

Edina Realty Title >

Edina Realty Title, founded in 1986, is Minnesota’s largest residential full-service title company. It offers a complete menu of title services, including abstracting, title insurance, property reports, mortgage closings and new construction services. Edina Realty Title has 21 closing centers across Minnesota and western Wisconsin.

Mapping Prejudice >

The Mapping Prejudice Project is based at the University of Minnesota Libraries. The project mobilizes people from all ages and backgrounds to map racial covenants. The resulting digital maps show how racial restrictions were embedded in the built environment. This work is meant to change our collective understanding of the past and lay the groundwork for a more equitable future.

City of Golden Valley >

Golden Valley is a West Metro suburb of Minneapolis of 22,000 residents and 1,600 racially restrictive covenants. The City of Golden Valley started the Just Deeds Project in 2019 through its Human Rights Commission. The City of Golden Valley commits to the mission of Just Deeds by educating homeowners about the lasting impacts of racially restrictive covenants and connecting residents to free services to discharge discriminatory covenants. The spirit of the Just Deeds mission permeates the City’s work through ongoing examination of City policies, practices and regulations to eliminate inequality.

We greatly appreciate our partners.
